CG Anthem Singers Auditions

Auditions for the CG Anthem Singers will be held in the Band room on Tuesday, September 2nd at 3pm. Auditions will be first-come, first-served and will last no longer than 2 minutes each. Audition requirements:

• Sing the melody of the National Anthem in a key that is comfortable for you

• Start yourself (key and rhythm - no help from the piano will be given, though you may bring a pitchpipe if you would like)

• Perform the anthem in a simple, non-elaborated style - while your own personal touches are welcomed, a traditional interpretation of the anthem is preferred

A brief meeting for those chosen for this ensemble will be held Wednesday, September 3rd after school to discuss scheduling. There are no other rehearsals for this group of singers as those chosen will be performing as soloists (unless small ensembles are formed from within the group, to be rehearsed on your own time).

This audition is open to ALL C-G CHOIR MEMBERS. We hope to see many of you there - enjoy your long weekend!
